Home of the Breed Record Holder (winner of 40 CC's under 40 judges), 1st and only German (Deutsch Drahthaar) Imported Full Champion, youngest ever Full Champion, youngest Show Champion in the breed, the First B&W titleholder in both show and Full, First GWP Full Ch bitch (homebred with field trial award), first imported Champion, only kennel with Ch' Group winning GWPs and the only BIS/RBIS winning GWP kennel, 20 times bred/owned the Top GWP in the UK, our dogs have gained first prizes in field trials and working tests among other awards. We specialise in dual purpose GWP's with good health and excellent temperaments from our established line (6 generations). With 30 years breed experience we are always happy to offer advice on this wonderful breed. We have successful Bareve Wirehairs in the show ring, in the field, with falconers, in agility and obedience.

We are the UK's leading kennel of true dual purpose Deutsch Drahthaars we have imported the very best bloodlines from Germany, Holland and Italy and are the ONLY UK Kennel to have ever competed in the prestigious annual German test - The Hegewald. We are the ONLY UK kennel to import top winning VJP,HZP,VGP tested DD's, with perfect form/hair scores and the ONLY UK kennel to have returned with our own UK bred DD's to compete successfully within the German testing system, a perfect system that tests ALL aspects of the DD.

We have 16 title holders, 5 Full champions all of our own breeding, INCLUDING THE YOUNGEST FULL CHAMPION BITCH. We have gained more CC's, Field Trial awards and Working Test awards than any other UK kennel. We are the first UK Kennel to title an import, we have the first and only B/W SH.CH. Bitch, we are the most successful kennel to date at the Beta working gundog weekend with 4 top awards, the only winners of the HPR Tri-dogathon. We have Novice, All-Aged and Open Field Trial awards and over 100 working test awards across all classes including many 1st places at Open level with many different dogs.

We work closely with our German friends and appreciate they have created the worlds best testing system for the DD which is unequalled here in the UK. We are a small kennel based in Shropshire, England and amongst our dogs we have some of the finest UK, Dutch and German bloodlines.
Since acquiring Fergus (Ch Kimmax No Kompromise For Klancraig) - our first GWP in 1999, three of the wires whom we have owned have gained their Show Champion titles (including a Top Puppy Award in 2003) and we have won awards at both Working Tests and Field Trials including a first at a Novice Working Test, the Guns Award at a Field Trial and a Show Gundog Working Certificate which led to us making up our first Full Champion.
Penny is formerly a member of the German Wirehaired Pointer Club Committee and Health Sub Group and a former Breed Rescue Co-ordinator.
Whilst we are committed to the ideal of the German Wirehaired Pointer being a 'dual purpose' gundog which can be shown and worked with an equal measure of success, first and foremost our dogs are all our companions and live-in with our family which is a true indication of their wonderful temperaments. They are 100% raw fed and minimally vaccinated and their health and wellbeing are paramount.
We are Kennel Club Accredited Breeders and all our breeding dogs and bitches are hip scored and DNA tested clear of vWD. As future DNA tests become available for conditions which affect our breed, we will test accordingly.

Abbotsbourne was founded in 1979, and in 1994 we bought our first GWP and have never looked back. Over the years we have been dedicated to breeding dogs that are not only of fantastic quality with excellent working ability but have fabulous temperaments to match. All our breeding stock are DNA tested clear for von willerbrands and are hip scored. We have enjoyed lots of success in the show ring and in total Abbotsbourne dogs have clocked up over 40 field trial, spring pointing and working test awards. Our most successfull dog in the field being Abbotsbourne Shooting Star over Coneycovert owned by David and Janet Chambers. With the help of our friends at Kimmax we have been lucky to include in our lines the very best from the UK, Holland and most recently Germany. We are extremly proud to have exported the first Champion in Asia, Ch Abbotsbourne Galxy Quest who lives in luxurious surroundings with Mrs C Greenwood in Southern India. We pride ourselves on the health and well being of all our dogs and are delighted to say that all our dogs are 100% raw fed and receive minimum vaccination. Our latest acheivement being our own Abbotsbourne First Contact who was awarded Top Brood Bitch 2006. Puppies are occassionally available to suitable, permanent and loving homes. We were introduced to wires by Maxine & Peter McCullough KIMMAX when they offered us a young 8 month old dog Kimmax Kennedy.

Since then we have achieved a great deal both in the show ring and field.

Kenny showed a natural ability to work and David continued his training to compete in working tests and field trials. Kenny has excelled in the show ring gaining 5cc and 5rccs, BOB CRUFTS 2004 & gaining his SHOW CROWN and FULL CHAMPION TITLE in the same year the first wire to do this at the age of 2. He has been awarded TWO RBIS, Coalville & District and Ashfield Canine Societies open shows.

We have 2 other wires, SH.CH.KIMMAX KOAST TO KOAST, 3cc, 2rccs the UKs FIRST BLACK AND WHITE GWP SHOW CHAMPION BITCH. was RBIS at the 2005 GWP Club CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW.

and KIMMAX ICE KOOL KATE FOR WENDAVIA JW, the UKs FIRST BLACK AND WHITE GWP BITCH TO GAIN A JUNIOR WARRANT. All of our wires are HIP SCORED, have sound temperaments, have a natural allround working ability, they are all kept within a FAMILY ENVIRONMENT and are regulary successfully handled by our DAUGHTERS, CHARLOTTE 13 AND CERI 10 in the breed ring, as well as in the field, also the Young Kennel Club, Junior handling classes, agility and obedience. BOTH GIRLS HAVE QUALIFIED FOR THE YOUNG KENNEL CLUB HANDLING CLASSES AT CRUFTS 2007

Sashal GWPs was established in 1995.

We are very fortunate to have owned 4 bitches from the Bareve Kennel. Of these the first two are CC and RCC winners, the third has become our first Show Champion (Nov 07) and now a Full Champion (Jan 08) and our fourth was a Show Champion (July 09) at just 2 years old and is now a Full Champion with Field Trial award (Dec 11)

Our GWPs have been owner-handled to BOBs, CCs, RCCs and BP awards at Championship shows along with numerous Championship stake placings. We have won BIS, RBIS, BOS, BPIS and RBPIS awards at the GWPC breed shows. In the Field we have Working Test, Field Trial and SGWC awar

Sashal is also the home of the FIRST Runner Up in a POTY year heat - Bareve Baloo for Sashal. Only two GWPs have achieved this award.

CHAMPION Bareve Bonnabee with Sashal has 5CCs, 1 BOB and 3RCCs. Just 2mths after achieving her show title and at her first attempt, Bonnabee went on to win her Show Gundog Working Certificate along with the guns award on Woodcock. She becomes a full Champion at just 3 years and 2 weeks old.

Our dogs combine what we consider to be the best dual purpose lines in the UK - combinations of British, German, Dutch and American lines. We are committed to maintaining the GWP as a dual purpose gundog and continuing the ethos of excellent type, temperament and working ability as achieved through the excellent breeding of our dogs.

Our dogs are hip scored and are genetically clear of vWD.

At Germanus we are a small kennel we have been lucky enough to have some of the best bloodlines in the world sat on our settee. from the UK, Holland, Germany, Czech Republic and the USA. Germanus had the 1st A.I. litter of GWP's in the UK.

All of our dogs live in when we are at home and only kennelled whilst we are out at work.

Small kennels in Telford, Shropshire. Our dogs are raw fed and all live with the family and any puppies are socialised with children and our other dogs. Our dogs take part in showing, working, agility, canicross, obedience and are handled by our junior handlers.

We are Kennel Club Accredited Breeders and all our breeding dogs are hip scored and Von Willebrands Free.

We are trying to improve our lines by working closely with kennels in the Netherlands. Our males will be available for stud to approved bitches.

Wiggmansburg is a member of the Kennel Club Accredited Breeeders Scheme. This small select kennel specialises in German imports for all forms of work in the field,having produced both Field Trial and Crufts winners.The adults and puppies have natural ability, a steady temeperament, and attractive good looks. The kennel is situated in 100 acres of farmland which gives the youngsters plenty of scope when starting their training,whether pointing gamebirds, or swimming in the large lakes or working with the falcons.This is one of the longest established kennels in the UK which is known for it's quality offspring which can be found in many pedigrees past and present. Erle vom Alten Berg an import from Bavaria is an exceptional bitch in the field and has passed these qualities onto her puppies.She is currently worked with falcons and enjoys being out working on many different types of terrain. She is very easy going and yet quick to learn what is required of her in new surroundings.Again we have found that her puppies share this quality making them naturally easy to train and take on to the highest levels.Erle currently has a young litter of pups that have been carefully bred by a young up and coming sire. These pups are black and white and have all the trade marks of a litter designed to do a good days work.
